Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Electronic Dreams collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep it short and specific on purpose — if something here is unclear, call us at (281) 890-5200 and we will walk you through it.

Who we are

Electronic Dreams is a smart home and home theater integrator based at 6101 Royalton St Ste. 108, Houston, TX 77081. This policy covers this website. It does not cover the equipment manufacturers whose systems we install — those companies have their own privacy policies governing the apps and accounts you set up with them.

What we collect, and when

Information you send us. When you fill out a service request on this site, we collect what you type into it: your name, phone number, email address, service address, the kind of system you have, what you need help with, how urgent it is, whether we installed the system, and any details you add in your own words. We ask for these because we cannot quote or schedule work without them.

Basic technical information. Like nearly every website, ours is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. These are used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.

Nothing else. We do not run advertising trackers, analytics tools, or third-party marketing pixels on this site, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing we store in your browser is a short-lived note that remembers which option you clicked — for example, selecting an issue on the Rescue Desk page so the request form arrives pre-filled. It stays on your device, is cleared as soon as the form reads it, and disappears when you close the tab.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to respond to your request, quote and schedule work, provide support, and keep records of the systems we have serviced. If you become a client, we may contact you about your own system — a follow-up, a warranty matter, or a support plan renewal.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertisers.

Who else touches it

A few service providers handle your information on our behalf, only so that this site works:

  • Our form provider receives your service request and delivers it to our inbox.
  • Our website host serves these pages and keeps the server logs described above.
  • Our email provider hosts the inbox your request arrives in.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Service requests and the correspondence that follows are kept as long as needed to serve you and keep our service records. If you would like us to delete your information, ask us and we will, unless we are required to keep it for tax, warranty, or licensing reasons.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you at any time — reply to any email from us or call the number below, and we will honor it.

Texas residents, and residents of states with their own privacy statutes, may have additional rights. Contact us and we will handle your request the same way regardless of where you live.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and your service request is transmitted encrypted. Access to our inbox and client records is limited to the people at Electronic Dreams who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not ask for sensitive information — payment details, Social Security numbers, or alarm codes — through this website, and you should never send them to us that way.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging work on their homes. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
